Centro Español - Toluca

Very pleasant, good cuisine, and peaceful atmosphere.

On the night of February 14th, everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong at this restaurant. Out of the three dishes we ordered, two were unavailable so the chef suggested expensive and poorly made substitutes. The restaurant itself looked old and worn out. To top it off, they did not accept American Express as a payment method, even though they advertise that they do. Overall, I was disappointed as I had high hopes for this place.

This place a hole in the wall with good vegetarian. The ambiance isn't great, but the food is good and the people running the place are very warm. The best item on the menu are their sandwiches.

We were late for our reservation, but Chuck's kindly held the table for us. Tableside Caesar salad was amazing. Our mains were bit of a wait, but before we could complain, our server apologized and they appeared shortly after. Amazing food and portions were well suited. Our steaks were perfectly done! Due to the small delay in our mains, manager sent over a sinful skor Sundae that although we were much too full for, we devoured. Excellent service and kudos to management for staying on top of service.

This steakhouse in Banff has a western theme, with a friendly welcome and helpful, knowledgeable waiting staff. We tried the fillet steak, which I think was one of the best I've ever had. The ambience was great and the meal was well-paced. Overall, it was a fantastic evening.
