Cascabel - TOLUCA LAKE

I used to come to Cascabel frequently a few years ago and stopped. I came backast night and remembered why. The atmosphere here is great. It's like a cute little Spanish style house and the drinks are always good. The food has always left something to be desired for me. Most recently I got shrimp tacos and it was two tiny shrimp on each taco. The flavor just wasn't there for me either. All of the portions are miniature.

Not always easy to find a place with excellent food and atmosphere in the Toluca Lake/Burbank area, which is why Cascabel is always my favorite spot to hit when I'm in this area. Always something new and inventive on the menu. Great experimentation with traditional Mexican dishes. Mezcal old fashioned is a personal favorite cocktail.
