Bidra med feedbackI have known Chaya for a while but I feel they have adapted to accommodate the majority when they increased their fish menu. But their dessert is something worth having. The food overall is decent but can be considered overpriced and small portioned. So please be aware.
I've been coming here for years. The food is good but they also include seafood, so there are a limited number of (clearly marked) vegan options for lunch and dinner. Where they really shine is the desserts. I think they are all excellent. They do great strawberry desserts like cake and parfaits. I like the soy lattes too. They have a little outdoor garden that is really nice in azalea season in particular, around April. It's great to sit out there when the weather is good and really be in a peaceful and secluded place in Tokyo. They sell their Chaya Macrobiotics brand products here as well. I recently picked up a freshly made scone and a strawberry shortcake cookie. The staff understands veganism perfectly. The atmosphere is nice and upscale. The building is convenient for shopping as there's also a grocery in the basement that sells organic cosmetics and vegan foods.
I am still not comfortable with seeing animal suffer products #Veganuary
Several vegan options see menu, can have a set course menu, also wine pairing. Good if you are with people who want meat. Rather pricey but good service and a bit off the crowds around SJ station. Inside the Isetan department store.
Many vegan choices but the portions are quite small and it is a bit pricey. Plus my pasta was not very flavorful and I was still hungry, might need to try other options.
