Bidra med feedbackThe Tokeland Hotel is possibly my paradise. We stayed for two nights with a small child and enjoyed every meal at the establishment- the food was above and beyond my expectations. The fried chicken was astounding, French toast the best I have ever had, and salads are all 10/10. This is a place to slow down and enjoy the things that truly matter- community, family, flourishing gardens, meditative scenery,…I could go on and on. There are countless animals on the property that added to the charm- peacocks, pigs, cats, dogs, goats, chickens, bunnies- all so sweet and friendly with children. We are already checking the calendar to see when we can return. Thank you to everyone who makes this retreat possible, we feel so fortunate to have experienced this special place.
Charming, comfortable, and historic with amazing food. Highly recommended. I had a wonderful and peaceful stay here on my road trip and I'd highly recommend it to friends.Rooms: 5/5
I recently went to the chocolate hotel to have lunch with my family. We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible unique hotel that was first opened in 1895.Everything about the hotel is incredibly unique antique and like a luxury boutique. The food was pretty incredible and we all enjoyed our dishes very much. The service was average but do you views were very good from the hotel rooms.I did not stay here but I would be open to it if I needed to be in the area and it was a very cute place.I would definitely come to tokeland if you happen to be in the area to have lunch for sure though.Walkability: Very easy terrain.Food drinks: Great food and drinks.Noteworthy details: Incredibly unique hotel.
Quite the experience! Was like staying in a Historical Museum. Rough Around the Edges but clean and fluffy comforters antique bedspreads. Great pastries and fun seeing the deer on the grounds. The shared bathrooms were not an issue because I don't think all the rooms were full while we were there. Never had to wait to use the restroom
I have been in the food and beverage industry for 31 years and have worked at a 5 star hotel. I have never had an experience as amazing as this. From the moment we arrived everything felt magical. After hearing of this place and reading a ton of reviews my expectations were blown away. The location itself is stunning as you can see from the wood fired hot tub. We made a reservation all 3 nights at 9 in order to watch the sunset. The inside of the hotel was filled with so many cool pieces of art that 3 days didn’t even allow us enough time to enjoy it all. The rooms were very cute and cozy. The beds are amazing as are the linens, towels and robes. I have never slept that well away from my own bed.The food. Wow!! We had both breakfast and lunch. You will see the fried chicken mentioned many times in reviews and for good reason. I had the Japanese omelette rice bowl for breakfast and it was amazing. The biscuits and freezer jam are to die for. Don’t do yourself a disservice and skip desert. We had a pastry and the raspberry lemon goat cheesecake. Even if you aren’t the biggest goat cheese fan like my wife you will be blown away. The staff and owners may have been the greatest thing about our stay despite all the other things I listed. Everyone from the front desk to the person that showed us around the area where the pigs, chickens, goats and geese live.On our last night we were given a tour of the property by the owners. It was that last special touch that will live with my wife and I forever. Thanks you Tokeland Hotel. We hope to see you again very soon.
