Cafe am Rathaus - Todtnau

We arrived relax from a hike, ready to take a seat and ear something. I went to the counter to order , the person behind got really fed up that i could not understand her. She could speak english but dis not even try and just made sure to not help . I am hearing impaired so i just can not easily understand or learn languages. The lady behind the bar looked at me inpatiently making me feel very unwelcomed. So i also got fed up and asked her whether she just did not want us there and we were bothering her. She continued with the attitude so i just decided to leave and go to another place that know what service and inclusion means.

Absolutely delicious cakes, tarts and cheesecakes at this fantastic bakery café. My wife and I visited three times and were amply “rewarded” for our detour to Todtnau. Indoor and outdoor tables and nice location. Sisters cafés in Schönau and Utzenfeld.

Super delicious cakes in this small town at the bottom of Feldberg, Schwarzwald. I indulged in their Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte: easily the best of many in a 6 weeks holiday. This bakery/cafe has a high turn over on their cakes, thus super fresh. Very friendly service, and open 7 days a rarity in regional Germany. Enjoy!
