Bamboo House - Toccoa

The last time I was there, I was informed they were closing after being open for several years. I will miss them.

Was my favorite. I love this restaurant! It's been around forever and has always provided excellent food at a reasonable price--until lately. I ate there with a friend and felt the hostess was somewhat rude, but brushed it off. Then my daughter wanted to eat there for her birthday, so we arrived at noon to find it closed, and the sign indicated it opened at 11:00. My son took me there for a late Mother's Day gift, and that was my last visit. 1. The rude hostess waited on us, and she was RUDE. 2. There was no buffet. Since when don't they have the buffet? 3. I ordered wonton soup and she brought me egg drop. When I protested, she argued with me and let me know clearly it was a major imposition to bring the other soup. 4. I ordered shrimp. They didn't have any. The food was good, as always, but I was terribly disappointed. I really think I could have overlooked just about everything else, but that woman who waited on us should not be working with the public.

Lunch Special. The lunch special is good, but be advised if you get it to go and you want the soup they say included , they whack you for another dollar for a plastic container that costs them pennies, making the lunch special not as special as you may think.

Bamboo house is close business at March 31 at 2012 . Now is new owner , new name is Bamboo Garden
