This company was hired to provide food for 300 people at a funeral luncheon at noon and not only didn't show up, but didn't call or answer calls. They finally responded about 12:30 and said the caterer had been in a car accident, but when the family said they'd pick up the food they said the chef had called in sick and no food had been prepared. The family paid $5100 in advance. No one should hire this company!
I honestly cannot say enough good things about Divine Catering! They catered my wedding on 8/20/2022 and did a fantastic job. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully set up. The catering staff were on-time, friendly, and very professional.The team behind Divine Catering made sure that I was taken care of during the whole process of setting up wedding catering. Katherine answered all of my questions in a timely and informative manner, addressing the rough reviews of the past with honesty and complete details of changes that had been made since. Lisa was extremely attentive to our booking and even went to look at my venue before the event to get an idea of what would be needed the day of. She made me feel heard and taken care of during our phone conversations and our tastings. I only got to meet the chef, Alisa, once in passing but she was kind and helped to answer questions regarding various appetizers and vegan entrees.Catering can be difficult to navigate for weddings, but Divine Catering really took the time to ensure our event was everything we wanted and within our budget. I will be recommending them to all my family and friends!
Working with this company has been such a headache and terrible experience the whole time. Not only with the most recent issues they have been dealing with it has been impossible to communicate with them 6+ months leading up to my wedding. They don’t respond to anything (multiple emails, texts, calls), have no respect for their clients (obvious from the fact that they just didn’t show up to 7 people’s weddings with no warning or reply after taking their money). And they never had any apology or even recognition of their lack of communication. Luckily we heard they ghosted weddings the weekend before ours and decided to find someone new 5 days before our wedding since we hadn’t heard back from them on final payment for over a week. Such a stressful experience. I worked with so many amazing wedding vendors, including caterers who came through last minute for me when Divine didn’t after booking them over a year in advance. Stay away from them at all costs wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
We booked divine catering for our wedding over a year ago. We were one of the first couples to meet with the new events manager, Lisa. During the tasting both Lisa and the owner Alisa were great! They were super professional, answered all of our questions and the food was amazing! My husband and I couldn’t stop talking about it. I had used them for a work even a while back and loved them, hence us selecting them!Fast forward to about a month prior to our wedding. I went to give divine catering a call and google searched their number when I came across a bunch of recent bad reviews! I, like any bride had my stomach drop. I thought, I should just call and have a conversation with them, see what happened to get all these bad reviews and go from there.I talked with Lisa again, who was wonderful. She explained what happened at those weddings( she didn’t work there at that time, fyi) and explained that this would never happen again and rest assured me that everything would be okay.Now, what they did for those no show weddings of course is not okay, and as a bride I would be a mess. However the reviews prior to that of this company and new ones coming out show more of a positive.I have now worked with them twice, one directly, and it’s been great! Lisa made sure our day was perfect and we received so many compliments on how great the gluten free veggie lasagna was. Lisa ensured my nerves of the reviews were at ease, gave me her personal email and phone, always followed up with me, and even went above and beyond to do extra things.I know we all look at reviews for validation and I know how scary it can be (especially as a bride) to see some of the reviews below, but I will tell you as a recent 6/4/22 bride, it was a 5 star for them, and we would highly recommend.Thanks Lisa and Alisa!
