Mexicano El Guey - Tías

Very good outside seating overlooking the ocean with quite a good vibe. Tables are a little too close together so you get to hear everyone’s conversations. We had a variety of starters from garlic shrimp,squid and some sort of meatballs. After we ordered seafood paella for 4 people, there was quite a lot of it and it was ok but not the best we’ve had, a little acidic to tell the truth. Staff are lovely and very laid back but efficient. All in all we paid around 25 euros each with drinks so the price isn’t bad at all.Would I go back again? Probably not.

Nipped down for a few cocktails, started to get peckish so I ordered Pizza and my partner ordered wings.. My partner said they were the best wings he ever had and I'd say the same for my pizza! Would never have realised this place was here if it wasnt for the guy on the street. Thank you! Added to our list for our next visit.

Exceptionally underwhelming service. Waiting 15 minutes for order to be taken (restaurant was not over busy and the waited patiently for starters. Ordered second round of drinks of which half turned up, continued to wait for food, no apologies, no interaction or interest from wait staff. Other tables gave up left. Requested bill for the drinks consumed which also failed to arrive- gave up left with an estimate of what drinks bill should be (regret even leaving that considering time wasted! One to be avoided

Thankfully we did not eat here, we just popped in for a beer whilst on a long walk; the tout said you will not be disappointed. The view from the balcony wasn't, but the place is a mess. The floor is dirty and looked like it had not been seen a mop for months. There was peeling paint/bird poo on the balcony and our table cloth/table runners were stained and dirty. It looked like no one cared for the place. The above could very easily be rectified, hose down, repaint and ensure the tables are clean.

Daughters Apple juice came out in a glass that looked like it has been used for a mojito. Mixed grill was unrecognisable deep fried meats. They completely forgot my daughter's order so it got cooked after everyone else's and weirdly came out minutes later.. Worst food so far on Lanzarote. Avoid these guys are chancers with a nice location.
