Portside Restaurant - Thunder Bay

I stayed in this hotel many times.The dining room is great.The best stir fry I have ever had was here.Good portion and a lovely soup and salad bar..The food was good and hot.The price was reasonable

I ordered stir fry vegetables with shrimp, teriyaki sauce on the side. The shrimp were good sized, veggies more onion than rest, and they forgot to put teriyaki on the side everything was swimming in it. 2 others ordered the same thing had about 1/2 the amount of teriyaki which turned out to be pretty thick teriyaki. Maybe in Canada that's normal? The dinner came with the salad bar, rolls (cold), but soup on that was very good. There was some confusion on one of our parties drink as she ordered a vodka/mix type the server asked if she wanted ice in it. Server was very nice, but I got the impression that maybe she's really new at this. I'd probably choose another restaurant if we came to Thunder Bay again.

Stopped for breakfast on our way out of towwn and the food and service were all very good, after all it was breakfast, We will stop again for lunch or dinner

We went to the bar on September 14th. As we chatted, Judy found it that we're hikers. She went to the back and printed a list of hikes! Thank you... we had a great hike at Sleeping Giant park per her recommendations!

The food at this restaurant was excellent with a wide variety to choose from, and there was plenty of it. The food was also served hot and replenished frequently. The service was fantastic and the restaurant is easily accessible for those with disabilities, with parking available in the back.
