Bidra med feedbackMainly chinese food is served, but als some dishes from Vietnam and Thailand. My lunch started with a Tofu soup, followed by fried rice with beef and little vegetables. As dessert, I tried the fried vanilla ice-cream. Everything tasted good, I would have preferred a little more vegetables instead of rice. I believe it's a family managed restaurant. Attendance was good, deft and pleasant. Agreeable ambience, windows to the alley. The cheque was below average. Surely I'll return one day.

Arrived at 11.30 on a Wednesday in March. I was the only guest so obviously the service was rapid. I sat looking out of the window and ordered a Thai beer and a spicy, crispy-beef dish with boiled rice from the main menu. English is not the restaurant's forte, so the menu is fun to understand. Whilst sipping my beer, two regulars came in for takeaways and one other guest sat down at one of the other 16 free tables – it’s quite a large takeaway-cum-restaurant. Another guy came in and talked about party service with the proprietor. My meal arrived – see photo, but I’m afraid that the crispy beef was chewy; almost like deep-fried beef jerky, and the salt-based sauce didn't help the flavour, so I wouldn’t order it again, if indeed I was to go again. The rice and overall portion size was fine, but I’d been expecting the kind of Asian comfort-food that would temporarily help you forget things such as a high electricity bill, but I left the place feeling as if I’d left a pan of water boiling on my cooker at home 4 hours before, which was downright scary. I noticed that the same dish was considerably cheaper as takeaway and I’d consider that some kind of value, but not Fr. 23.00 for what you see in the photos, which is pushing Swiss prices a bit. The full experience took 29 minutes. I left feeling unsatisfied at 11.59, leaving one guest sitting at one of 16 free tables.
Friendly staff, good food, but our meal was marred somewhat by not getting what we had ordered or what was on the menu. The menu was in German and English but the latter was translated shockingly badly. The menu was bright and colourful and at one point, when we were looking at the seafood page, the waitress came and told us that the prawns in one of the pictures are not in their shells as in the picture, but out of shells. We should have realised that this was an omen. We ordered, by pointing at a picture, as well as the text, amongst other things, stir fried pork glazed with honey and sesame seeds and a platter of Thai starters (which, the menu made clear, included chicken satay skewers). When the meal came, there was a platter but no chicken satay, just a different sort of samosa/wanton, but without explanation. Also, instead of the pork we had ordered, we received ribs....Mmmm. We were in a hurry and didn 't complain and the food was actually good (the green curries are especially spicy), but the awful translation, compounded by the fact that the menu wasn 't accurate (even in German), plus not getting what we had ordered, will mean we will go somewhere else next time.
The card is well made and despite many guests a quick order. the few pork was in order, the roasted rice was not really roasted. you realized that it had to go very fast. the also few sweet tastes did not taste fresh. Overall, everything worked very spicy and unprofessional. the chefin (?) was concerned about order, unfortunately it was surrounded by many inexperienced employees in their individual private look. a lot seemed a little strange. there is probably another cook and a good organization. the price is too high. overall: here is a bit of restaurant.
