Barrows Keep - Thomastown

Food lovely, more space in summer, can be noisy, if crowded.

We were staying in nearby Ballyduff House. I had seen reviews that the portions in Barrows Keep were on the small side, but they absolutely were not! We shared a scallop ceviche starter, and then my wife had rib-eye streak and I had roast beef. The service was excellent, and Morgan gave us recommendations of wine by the glass to match each dish, which was great. We finished off with desserts Creme Brulee and a Brownie with dessert wines. Great meal and it only came to Very good value for the quality of the food and wine!

We were a party of was our visit to Barrows Keep.As on our first visit last summer,we were all hugely impressed with the relaxed atmosphere, the professionalism,care , passion attention to detail of all the staff here.The food , ie Rib Eye Steak, Monkfish, Duck etc all were excellent. Desserts were scrumptious. A wonderful selection of wines advice available, without pretensions. Highly recommended this restaurant, which gives wonderful value, at every level, for money.

Lovely food, lovely wine and staff. Everyone is so friendly and love going there. Lovely experience of food and wine with great atmosphere and so relaxing being there. Definitely highly recommend and looking forward to going back.
