Ambient Cafe - Thimphu

So, i ordered a Full Vegan Breakfast and got food not exactly as was said in the Menu. For example, instead of Hash Browns..i got boiled potatoes which were sautéed, instead of roasted beans..i got boiled kidney beans which were too bland, mushrooms were super bitter (maybe over cooked or something) and there was no jam (as was written in the menu). Didn't point out it to them as i didn't want to ruin my day any further by listening to their bizarre reasoning. Ruined my Sunday morning completely. Ambient used to be my go to place for brunch..guess, i am not going there again because i'm really disappointed. Updated from previous review on 2021-06-28

Definitely my favorite place to hang out in Thimphu...lovely coffee and a huge selection of vegetarian and some vegan options! Slightly pricey for Bhutan, but well worth it.

I ordered a full vegan breakfast but it did not match what was listed on the menu. Instead of hash browns, I received boiled potatoes. The roasted beans were replaced with boiled kidney beans, which were bland. The mushrooms were extremely bitter and there was no jam as advertised. I decided not to complain as I did not want to spoil my day with negativity. This experience completely ruined my Sunday morning. This used to be my go-to spot for brunch, but now I am very disappointed and do not plan on returning. (Updated review as of June 28, 2021)

This experience completely ruined my Sunday morning and I am no longer considering this restaurant as my go-to brunch spot. I am very disappointed and will not be returning.
