CURRENT The Westin at The Woodlands

We came early 6:30. only one is there. sun came in the dining room and created a huge dazzle, so we selected a table near the back. we ordered a drink. then the waiter came back after 5 minutes and asked if we wanted a start. so we ordered the starters. no drinks. no waiter in itself when the sun finally moved on our table. finally a person waved to bring a shadow to block our table. he brought all shades. they get our appetizers and drinks and as soon as it was served they wanted to take our order. we told them we were not ready. it was the service that was all night. the chef was the bright spot of the evening. the food presentation and creativity were very good. the fish was a bit over boiled, but who knows if he remained under the warming light too long. the valet service is immaculate. we were the only ones out there. no valet. our car was parked in front. only if a member of the group went to get into the Valet key drawer, a part came out. I hope that the restaurant treats these things as it is a good cook and location.

Eating was good, but we waited a long time before we were recognized at our table. 2 or 3 tables that are sitting after us were served before us. then took forever before we got our bill. when we arrived, there were only 3 active tables. a very sad experience.

The food was excellent, but the service was not good. the personal was constantly confused about what was going on, if it were animated night, it would have been a complete catastrophe.

Large open space with generous separation between tables. beautiful natural lighting; bright. service was polite, but not too dynamic.

My wife Had our valentines dinner there and it was wonderful. I will take her there again for other romantic dinners.
