Bidra med feedbackThis is truly an amazing place. The ambiance is authentic and the tea selection fits everyone?s taste buds. The tea sandwiches and savories are mouth watering. The hosts are also a pleasure to chat with and genuinely care about your experience. I recommend this place for the experience. We will be going again.
Reservations, reservations, reservations! You really need to make reservations to get a table as it is a small business with few tables. Walking in off the street you are less likely to get service. It was a wonderful spot for tea. The teas are loose leaf fine quality blends that really make the experience. Wide range of flavors to choose from and individually or group pots. The tea sandwiches were authentic and delicious. You have to try each one because no two are alike. Thepiece of resistance is the sconces. These are to die for. Now you just need to decide cream first or jam first. I can?t wait to go back.
This is our favorite spot for mother/daughter days! The teahouse is quaint and adorable. They have a stunning collection of vintage-antique dishes and teaware. Theres a wide array of teas to choose from, and you can smell them before ordering. We got the cream tea for 2 and had very delicious fresh scones and other treats. It's worth driving out for a special visit!
I found this place on Yelp when searching up tea rooms in the DMV area. It was about an hour drive, but I almost would like to gate keep this place because it was such a gem! I made a reservation on their website and drove over to Plains, VA with a friend. There is plenty of street parking the the street is lined with different shops and restaurants. When we arrived at 12:30 PM, the restaurant was packed with our reserved table being the only one open! It 's a fairly small place but it was cozy enough to get around and get seated. All items in the shop are up for sale and they carry unique antiques and seasonal items. We opted for the High Tea which comes with a variety of sandwiches, cookies, scones and a choice of tea/beverage. For the teas, we were able to smell the different varieties and I chose Mother of Pearl which had notes of strawberry and peach. They brought out a full tea pot and we has a strainer that kept the tea leaves from falling into the cup. The food was more than enough for both of us. The tea sandwiches were absolutely delicious and we plan to bring some of our friends here next time. I 'm still thinking about those sandwiches!!
For quite a while, I’ve been wanting to try the tea here. Can absolutely say that I wasn’t disappointed! The auntie’s pumpkin pie tea was amazing and the assorted pastries received with the “cream tea for two” were tasty!
