Bidra med feedbackBest place in The Pas to get all types of coffee and tea. The clothing there is fantastic. Very stylish. If you are in The Pas you have to go there And check it out. You won’t be disappointed
I highly recommend the smoothies and the Italian sodas. There is a good variety of gift items to buy there. Scarves and figurines are often on display. There is also a tanning bed in the back. The minutes are very reasonably priced.
My two friends and I are from out of town and walking into Lyet's was our introduction to The Pas. We were excited to see a huge assortment of tea but upon entry to the cafe, the owner was extremely cold to us and seemed to want us to leave. We ordered regardless and then ran into a series of rude remarks/actions by said owner- not wanting us to smell the tea, clearly not wanting us to sit to do work, telling us she had no outlet for our computer chargers... We noticed a table at the back of the store and attempted to go sit there as it was near an outlet and she refused to let us go and claimed that her hydro bill was too high to let people use her outlets. We felt so so unwelcome. We also felt that she was being particularly rude to one of us and couldn't help but feel that racism was at play. We finally decided we should leave and asked for to-go cups which she begrudgingly went to provide, and at that point it was so uncomfortable that we just left without the tea. For folks like us who really really want to get to know people in small towns we've never seen, we were heartbroken to have this experience.
The owner of this coffee shop was completely and utterly rude to me and lied to me in saying that they “had no outlets” when I wanted to charge my computer in a room full of lamps, even after I had kindly paid for my tea. As a musician coming from Toronto I was saddened to experience this type of racism in a town also filled with kind folks.
Amazing Coffee. Fabulous Environment. Beautiful Retail. And last but certainly not least a Gracious Hostess. I love coming into Lyet's and will be working it into my routine in the future.
