My wife and I were in Houston visiting family and were introduced to Collina's Italian Cafe. All we can say is WOW. Quality of the food was excellent along with the great service. Andrea and the staff were so attentive to their guests. You MUST try the meatballs with the marinara sauce, it is to die for. we are looking forward to returning to Houston and going out to Collina's Italian Cafe once again

Stopped for an early, quick dinner. Only 3 tables full. The main waiter was training someone. I sat in the middle right in front of the counter. I waited till they took everyone else’s order. Everyone walked by m me like I was invisible. I finally went to the counter to get a menu. Then I went back to the counter to order. Finally someone brought me water and utensils. The good was ok but there was a wine in the sauce not listed in the menu. I finally had to go to the counter to pay. I have never had such horrible service.

I had chicken piccata which was grilled chicken and penne pasta with mushrooms and capers. Very good. My wife had Sicilian egg plant with angel hair pasta and she loved it. Both meals came with a small salad which were also very good. Salads were small and house dressing with Parmesan cheese and balsamic vinegar was delicious. We had garlic bread on the side. Service was awesome. It was our first visit and Weill return.

I order spaghetti and meatballs via DoorDash delivery on April 30,2020. The photos that you have on your site look so amazing, but the food that I received from your restaurant looked nothing like what you advertise and the food made me so sick for two and half days that resulted in me getting iv antibiotics. I developed intestinal issues, fever and chills. The health department really needs to shut your doors.

We have been going to this restaurant several times a month for over 25 years. It is fair to say it is one of our favorite restaurants in Houston for both food and great, friendly service. A big part of our experience and loyalty has been Randy the dining room manager. We were so dismayed this week to find out this veritable institution is gone. We do not know the details but we are heart broken he will no longer be there to brighten our dinners. We want to thank him for all the conversation with this fine friend over the years. I hope the owners had a profoundly good reason for making this move. I would have rated Collinas with 5 stars except for this new development.
