Bidra med feedbackFood was not good. It tasted like I was served old food... The chicken was hard and tasted bitter. Whatever oil the chicken was fried in, added to the bitterness of it all (I believe the oil was rancid). The ginger rice was overcooked (mushy), and very wet. This was extremely unpleasant. Even the sauces I received tasted old/off.Total waste of . I had to throw the meal away, for fear that I would get sick.
Food: Steamed chicken khao mun gai (5/5), my husband ordered from another restaurant. I was really happy with my food! Chicken was really good, cucumber was nice, rice was cooked to perfection and seasoned well, and soup was yummy. Hubby was really happy with his food too. Service: 4/5, really interesting. You order from the kiosk, the kitchen makes it in the back and when your order is ready, you get your food from a locker (a code is texted to your phone). I prefer the human interaction aspect of a restaurant but if you don't mind minimal contact -eat here. There was some seating inside and outside but this place is really more of a order and pick up style.
I'll give 3 stars for the food, since the pictures look ok.Bear with me here. So I posted on a neighborhood app trying to find an abandoned dog a home. The post got a lot of views I suppose? Because I was emailed a gift certificate from Angry Mom's (that's the one I picked, out of a couple of choices; I figured I'd give them a try). So I'm off across town in rush hour. When I get there, it's just a building with a pickup window inside. Ok, one of these innovative shared space kitchen deals. Fine.Ordering is either done online, or at an automated kiosk run by Square. It's a little glitch-y, and (I should have seen this coming) the automated checkout did not honor my code— that I had just been sent, and that's supposedly valid for another month. So I don't have much of a review for you, just a about being jerked around. It's a shame I'll never know.
I’ve tried a lot of chicken and rice dishes from different Asian cultures and I have to say Angry Mom’s Kitchen knows what they’re doing. It’s probably better than my mom’s but don’t tell her that.I ordered the classic crispy chicken with Thai tea. Chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside with nice flavor. Rice and winter melon soup also had good flavor when they’re usually bland foods. The Thai tea was too sweet for me personally but still a good value. Overall this restaurant exceeded my expectations.
Just had Angry Mom's for the first time via the Fooda pop-up near my job. Tried the signature (crispy) chicken rice dish with egg rolls and sauces. Omg. Heaven!!!
