Reiatstube - Thayngen

Wonderful view of the countryside from our table. The salad was very good, however the main dishes were extremely disappointing... I had chicken breast with French fries and both were so salty as to be inedible. The accompanying vegetables were mushy, over-cooked, and tasteless. When we first informed our very friendly waitress about our dissatisfaction she said that we were the only ones to complain about the food inferring that we were the problem and not the food). When she later asked how our meals were, we again told her that the food was too salty to eat for me. She offered to replace the French fries, and later offered a complimentary coffee in response to this last complaint, which I felt was grossly inadequate. I sent an email to the restaurant stating the above but to date have received no reply.

Great location at the foot of one of the two ski slopes in Kanton Schaffhausen. Opfertshofen not Thayngen) Expansive and wide ranging view of the very south of Germany Hegau). The restaurant has a nice external dining and a covered area snd a large indoor restaurant. Large menu with seasonal specialities eg Asparagus. Food good but vegetables which were carefully selected very overcooked. Service attentive and friendly. Will be back

Very good restaurant with a nice view. Additionally nice staff. Delicious meal.
