So outside you might think let 's run . Then when you walk inside it 's a time machine to better days. There is writing on the walls, banners and signs hanging from the ceiling. A dokken banner hanging from a wall. The food was exactly what you want if you are looking for local grub. I had the chili cheese burger and my wife had the bacon cheeseburger. The bacon literally made her eyes roll to where she was like try this . This place has national acts from the 80 's they bring in on the regular. Definitely be brave and venture in when you get the chance.

Oh lord. This place was a total letdown. First of all, the service was extremely slow. We sat for a long time b4 anyone came to our table. We both took turns going to the rest rooms looked around still no one came by... Finally a lady came over took our drink order. I wasn 't drinking, I was driving. Hubby ordered a beer. After a Few mins he got his beer we ordered apps. We got oysters on the half shell oysters Rockefeller. The oysters on the half shell were super fresh, perfectly yum. The Rockefeller was terrible. Too much stuffing **** I couldn 't even find a oyster under there. Yuck. So we decide to order entrees. I order red beans rice. Out of it. I order crawfish étouffée, out of it. I order two more items, out out out of everything I wanted! Hubby gets a shrimp basket fries, I should have done the same. I got a cup of gumbo the last one pound of crawfish they had. They gave me the Dixie drags. Way too small under seasoned. The cup of seafood gumbo had fake crab in it, ruined it. Yuck. Hubby split his shrimp fries with me we left. AND we had to walk up to the register to pay bc we still couldn 't find the waitress. Dixie drags sucks so does Fat Jacks that 's a fact Jack! Will not return. Do not recommend.

Super awesome! Love the hometown ambience. You just don't get friendlier folks than this. Great music, better drinks!

Good food! Good beer! Good friends! What else is there! I am a New Orleans ex-patriot and stop here whenever I need to recharge! I love their Jack's Caps! They have live music 3 days a week! Sunday night is trivia night! Win free stuff!

Wow! What a terrific experience! We came on Easter Sunday around 5pm; the place wasn't too busy but I noticed very quickly how the staff was team serving the entire restaurant together; two servers and the bartender all helping each other out. The result was an amazing, speedy experience! One of the servers even shucked our oysters herself. I was very impressed by the speedy service and quality of the food. The ownership/management should reward all three of these excellent employees that were working on a holiday and kicking ass like no other! We live in DFW otherwise they would have made regulars of us all.
