Bidra med feedbackThis is an amazing and beautiful place. I've been so crowded, the place is so huge that they have to visit many paintings to see everything. the trees are characterized for a simple identification, and there are signs scattered with information and fact around. this is one of my favorite ways to relax and get exercise.
A magical place. People can walk as far or as little as they like. The paths are good for visitors who need a firm ground to walk on. I really liked how they've split 50/50 for dog walkers and non-dog areas. We loved both sides of the Arboretum. The Christmas light trail was on when we went but we went in the day. It looks pretty awesome and can only imagine it looks fantastic at night. The cafe pricing seemed odd, £3.50 for a small slice of lemon drizzle cake. Yet for only a little more, you can get a soup, roll and a coffee. Do listen out for your name when collecting, as someone took our drinks then realised it wasn't theirs. It can be quite crowed at the drink collection area so if you're uneasy about that, visitors might be best to bring their own food/drink. Top tip: pick up a map, it's divided into squares which indicate how far it is to walk.
It was tipping down with rain but we still loved it. Plenty of places to walk and explore. All mainly level so great for all ages and abilities. Dog friendly and family friendly. Nice cafés and resturants, clean toilets, large carpark and reasonably priced. We loved the tree top walk and meeting the gruffalo.
Fantastic place as always, a tad expensive if you're not a member £22 for two adults and a child to go for a walk is a bit much but it really is a lovely place to spend time, the gruffalo trail is always a winner with my son but it's looking a bit dated and could do with a refresh. Good food options and nice places to sit, staff are always super nice.
Perfect time to go right now! The Rhododendrons are just starting to flower all around the old wood. Also grab a sausage roll on your way past the cafe, they are divine. Plenty of space to find some peace or run around in.
