Grilled Cheese Cafe - Test Valley

I tried the all-day breakfast and it was terrible! The toast was soggy, the egg undercooked, and the mushrooms were raw. I have never had such a bad breakfast before, especially with raw mushrooms. Even the hot chocolate was weak and watery, and the staff appeared uninterested. I will not be returning.

We were all excited to enjoy a hearty breakfast before a family outing, but unfortunately our experience was less than satisfactory. Our lattes were cold, the sausages were burnt to a crisp, and even the children refused to eat them. My English breakfast had burnt sausages and tomatoes, barely any bacon, and mushrooms sliced so thinly they resembled paper. All of it drowned in lukewarm baked beans, even my toastie was soggy from them. My husband's American breakfast with loaded chips never arrived as ordered, and when he brought it up to the staff they dismissed us with a slice of stale, dry chocolate cake. When he finally received his breakfast, it was the same story - burnt sausages and beans covering everything. Overall, a huge disappointment that left us feeling ill and caused most of our plans for the day to be scrapped. Would not recommend this restaurant. We were so disappointed that we didn't even bother taking photos.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with my family. They have a children's play area upstairs, which is great, and a few tables as well. There was a mix-up with our food order, so we had to wait for a while, but once we received our meal, it was fresh and delicious. The food was tasty and reasonably priced.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Great concept and lovely food. Staff friendly and efficient. Seems to be popular. Highly recommended for a quick bite.

We went there for lunch and had one of the vegetarian toastie offerings, ie the San Fran, a large £5) one and an extra large £7) one. They contained grilled mushrooms, rocket, mozzarella cheese, avocado and grilled onions. They were gorgeous. We also had a portion of chips £2.5). Excellent value too and very pleasant service.
