Long John Silver's - Terre Haute

Pleasantly surprised by the friendly cheerful service. I stopped eating at Long John Silvers a few years ago. Seems like the fried stuff is fat, including the hush puppies, although fish and shellfish are my favorite. My daughter was fishing and I didn't turn off fish unless she wanted LJS, against my own personal concerns. Everything tasted good. A little too much crust on fish and shrimp, but I can pick up the surplus. I remember a time when I asked for additional cnirches. Sigh... growing old can really change your taste. Not too fat and what I tasted didn't taste like it's been roasting for 10 days. But definitely the young man at the window was the best part. He suggested I try the lobster. He was really in his sales field. I could say he really liked the lobster popcorn. So I ordered some and he was right. We discussed the merits of fresh over packed lemons/young and again the conversation was interesting and real. He packed my food and gave it to me. I tasted him for the lobster, or I came back to the throat. His eyes expanded and realized that he did not package the lobster. He ran off to get it and all came back embarrassingly and sadly. I was just glad he got his own mistake. I think he was great. I distracted him. I just thought he got it. I'm sure he doesn't do enough, but I hope his management recognizes what he is!

Had to wait, but ordered 40 dollars worth of food and it was all hot and fresh... Enjoy every bite

You have created my order accurately and freshly, but there was no air conditioning. The staff was very polite!

Under new management. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was hot fresh. The bathroom was very clean. And I even have to hear a song I didn't hear on her music playlist when I was eating my delicious food!

I understand being short staffed and I'm guessing they only had 2 employees working. The same rude girl that took our order in the drive through who had 2 inch long nails and handling money, also was the one that helped make our order, without stopping at a sink. Then they still messed up the order.
