Bidra med feedbackI had an unfortunate experience at a restaurant recently. I suggested we have a family lunch there, but unfortunately, they were not prepared. After waiting for an hour, we were informed that they had run out of cooked rice for one of our dishes and asked if we were willing to wait an additional 20 minutes for more to be made. Hungry and frustrated, we ended up ordering fries which did not complement the dish at all. The food was served sporadically, with the lamb chops being delayed because the gravy was still being made. It was a disastrous meal and I felt really disappointed. The Red Lion used to be a great restaurant, but this experience was a letdown. The waitress apologized and took £10 off our bill, but it didn't make up for our overall disappointment.
The pub is charming with a large outdoor area, delicious BBQ food, and a talented singer who provided excellent entertainment during our visit.
It is essential to serve good wine at a reasonable cost, such as A Dark Horse (which is a personal favorite) priced at £7.50 a bottle in the supermarket, making it cheaper wholesale. Both the red and white wine would complement the meal beautifully. For me, if the wine selection is not up to par, I would not return no matter how good the food is. It is crucial to get all aspects right in order to provide a satisfying dining experience.
This local pub is not worth reviewing, as it is overpriced and expensive. The prices are more in line with those found in the West End, but you can find cheaper beer in places like Stratford, Bow, Stepney, and Poplar. It is best to avoid this establishment.
I visited this restaurant for a casual meal and had the Sunday roast, which was absolutely delicious. It was easy to find parking and the staff were very friendly.
