Varsity Tavern - Tempe

Y’all please dont go here save y’all money! Bathroom horrible .. seriously.. security let anyone in that they liked or knew skip’s the line!! Also if your African American this place is not it… they smile in your face but honestly they don’t want you in there place heard staff speaking on this!!! Food was burnt and rushed!!!Food: 2/5

I love Varsity Tavern. I honestly think this is one of, if not the, best clubs on Mill right now. When I went on July 1, the DJ on the top floor had it literally jumping up there. I wish I knew his name, I'll be back for him! I already liked Varsity Tavern, but tbh some places have DJ's rn that just aren't it. They understood the assignment ? thank you for playing up to date R&B and hip hop. Not stuff from 2006Also, there's no cover charge, the place is just super aesthetic to begin with AND there's a variety of music on each floor. You don't care for the music on the first floor? Go to the second floor. Love this place. It's my go-to on Mill ??

Stopped in on a Thursday night around 6pm. Place was not very busy and the hostess seated us immediately. Waitress was prompt taking our drink and food order. That's where it went downhill. We ordered two beers and a hummus platter. We were trying to make a show so that's why we ordered something quick and easy. We waited nearly 40 minutes for a hummus platter? Had to ask for another beer since the waitress never came back to see if we needed anything. Every time she walked by she kept telling us our food will be right up??? I feel it obviously wasn't her fault she wasn't the one cooking. If you are in a hurry to eat don't come here.

Fuuuun! Food was good, fast, waitresses knew the place and menu. They also have a great happy hour and in a great location. Entering was weird, as you have to take the stairs or elevator but once you get it on the second floor, you're good. Very nice sport bar for a college area. I ordered the wings (lemon pep and chili) and a burger with a couple drinks.

They need to hire better security guards, the way they handle customers at this establishment shows they need better training. Regardless of people complaining about this particular issue they don’t seem to do much about it. Food and drinks are okay but I wouldn’t risk being manhandled by their staff. The altercation I witnessed when I visiting was unsettling and uncalled for. I won’t be returning and I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere.
