Solar: A Vegan Eatery - Tempe

Weird ordering situation. You order online or on a computer at the location. They text you when it's ready and you'll find it in a locker. Very hip. Food was delicious and huge portions. Vegan food for the win.

I tried solar for vegan restaurant week and was a little unsure what to expect because of the mixed reviews, but it was amazing and I’m so glad to have this vegan spot that’s open late near our home! I got my food delivered so I can’t speak to the ordering system issues or ambience in the restaurant that many others mentioned in their reviews, but the delivery was painless and the food was fabulous! It sounds like these issues are beyond the restaurant’s control, so I’d encourage others to be mindful when giving them a lower review just for something that is managed by the overall building. Thanks for providing some bomb plant based options, I’m really excited to try everything else on the menu!

The food was amazing, getting the food was not. The location is weird, at night it’s creepy, and it was very confusing trying to pick up our order. The food was so so delicious though. I think the concept of the vegan cafeteria/food court is awesome but the execution is horrible. Maybe on the website there should be some sort of explanation for what it is, how to pick up, where to go, etc. I strongly recommend the hot “chicken” sandwich as well as the loaded fries. So delicious.

Had Solár food delivered via DoorDash. Good vegan comfort food. Definitely will order from them again.
