Los Reyes De La Torta #2 - Tempe

I heard about this place and it was not disappointed! the personal was super nice and explained what was done in everyone. they were never frustrated and we are super friendly for me and my family. our food was served quickly and very tasty. the shrimp cocktail was my favorite and that made it as I like it. highly recommended!

Authentic. It?s a good sign when patrons appear to be locals. Not really ?cheap eats? but worth a visit, satisfying dishes. Went with torta nortena pollo and torta de ray, both are ?signatures dishes? at the restaurant and recommended. King tacos (steak) were good but average value. Agua Fresca quite refreshing and recommended.

We ordered the Peluche, I think that's how you spell it. Since we came for fajitas, this was the next best thing.. flavor n spice. Give it a try. Great service. Signs say happy hour but they don't serve anything with alcohol..

Great service and the food was delicious. I ordered the Mini Reyes and Mangonada. The mangonada just needed some tequila but this location didn't serve alcohol.

I found this place during a lunch break. I stopped because this place claims to be the king of the torta?so of course I had to try it. As I walked in I saw the man versus food poster on the wall, apparently this show came here back in the day. I feel like this place has been coasting on their reputation because I tried their Cadillac torta. The torta EL REY. I was expecting magical. I was sorely disappointed ??. The telera bread needed to be toasted to bring out the flavor of the bread. The carnitas were old rubbery and flavorless. The smoked chicken breast was old and flavorless as well. Chef wrapped some old meats around a omelette fresh avo, ham and chicken fried steak. If everything was fresh and made to order, this might be fire. But as it stands it was a serious let down.
