Bidra med feedbackSuperb food here. We had the beer-battered shrimp quesadillas. They were huge in addition to being delicious. Loaded with fresh, tasty shrimp and jack cheese on a buttery flour tortilla. Simple and perfect with the tomatillo-cilantro salsa that came with it. We also split a large aqua fresca and it was plenty for two. This was Jamaica flavor. Made with hibiscus flowers. Like Hawaiian Punch but more interesting flavor and very common in Mexico. Sweeter than Iusually prefer but this really worked. The other flavor of aqua fresca on offer was lime-cucumber. This is a counter service restaurant. They give you a beeper for when your order is ready. It's located in a mini food court inside abuilding called The Cookhouse. This is an historic building and there are a few others in this historic site called Vail Headquarters. Now a small mall with shops and other places to eat. Vail Headquarters was originally the location ofa massive ranch that covered the Temecula Valley before Temecula as we know it existed. All of Vail Headquarters is heavily themed in a shabby-chic way to pioneer days without being a bit kitsch. It's a really attractive refuge in a seaof strip malls and a very pleasant place to visit.
Initially I thought $12 for a Beer Battered Shrimp Burrito was a little pricey but when it came bursting with the shrimp in every bite I knew it was worth it. We had grilled and battered shrimp tacos also...delicious.
Oh Wow!! This place was delicious. So much food for your money. And the Shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious. The enchilado bowl.. was Spicy but if you can handle the Heat .. it?s a must! Wow definitely trying AGAIN next time??????????
A little difficult to locate at first. Kind of like food court in the Vail Ranch by Kohl?s. Having enjoyed ceviche most of our lives, and as of late including the Mexican which includes tomatoes among other ingredients, and returning from Camp Pendleton we finally exited on Temecula Pkwy and 2 plus miles arrived to the Isla Cevicheria, which enjoys many glowing reviews as being the best in this part of the world. At $15 a pop, we ordered 2 to go Tortilla chips included witheach order. I thought it was agreeable, easy to eat, and what initially looked like a small container, it actually was plenty. Supposedly the white fish was Halibut, and the shrimp medium size. Tortilla bags each sealed, nice and crispy.Only two were running the small place, and order taker was congenial and pleasant, but it was only moi at around 1:30 PM ordering. Female companion who at first resented a little bit the size of the container changed her attitude promptly, once she started enjoying it. Very difficult to please as a norm, she endorsed the mixed ceviche wholeheartedly. 4.5 Stars. I liked it, as I remembered the one I purchase at Costco on occasions that is a little more spicy and way cheaper, but found it lacking something in terms of full potential. 3.5 Stars. Nice people, enjoyable food.
Ordered the grilled fish tacos. It was a soggy mess. The fish seemed microwaved and it smelt terrible. The taste was overall bland with a left out fish taste. The guy cooking the food was sweating into the food and licking his lips. Only one guy had something covering his hair. Go somewhere else.
