Bidra med feedbackHaving walked the dog along the riverbank, my husband and I thought we'd stop off for a drink. It was early evening and the place was deserted except for dirty glasses left on the tables outside. This place could be amazing but it really needs bring up to date. The whole place looks and feels shabby and the drinks were expensive. I won't be stopping again.
With a menu that changes just once a month in peak season, you are definitely NOT spoiled for choice. Limited menu and somewhat bland as well. After our first meal here we never attempted a second...
Excellent evening meals and service, prices very reasonable, nice location. Best to book table as can get busy.
A good selection on the menu , Excellent food , staff were prepared to accept small adjustments to the meal and make some suggestions .
We stayed for 2nights on a dinner and b&b package. The dinner included 3 courses which on the menu was around £25pp. The first night was fab. Food very hot, fresh and well cooked. Generous portions. Staff quite mixed tonight. Breakfast was mediocre. Hot cooked to order and was OK but quite a wait on refills at the continental buffet and juice regularly empty. Second night dinner wasn't as good but still OK. Staff were more cheerful! Menu was the same which was a shame but still a choice of around 6 dishes. We ordered the venison rare and sirloin medium, both a £4.50 supplement. However the venison came very well done and the sirloin very rare! The manager waived the supplement charge after we asked. All in all very good value and good portions, hot etc just sometimes a bit over done.
