Hoi Shan - Teignbridge

I ordered the beef crispy noodles and what we got was soggy noodles, which were tasteless and barely any sauce. Beef was chewy and of poor quality. Also ordered chicken with cashew, again tasteless and barely any sauce. Salt and pepper chips were stale and had no flavor. They seemed old to me. The whole meal was bad and I wish I would have just set fire to the £30 we spent n it. No point in complaining, as their customer service is worse than their food. Don't waste your money.

We ordered a delivery from Hoi Shan, Salt and Pepper chicken with egg fried rice and other dishes. Very disappointed there was hardly any meat on the chicken, rock hard and overcooked, it tasted like yesterday's food warm up. Egg fried rice was dried up and hardly any fried egg inside it. Very bland indeed. I called the manager to hopefully resolve the issue he was very rude and couldn't care less on the phone which I found was very unprofessional. I would not be going back there again. Appalling service.

Some friends were round and we wanted a last minute take away. One recommended HoI Shan from which they had picked up take aways from in the past. We ordered a home delivery from here for the first time, it was fab, arrived sooner than expected, food was hot and really tasty. So on that basis I am writing to recommend and I was a bit surprised to read the other reviews on here. Food and service were great for us, so our overall rating for a home delivery is excellent. We will be ordering again!

This evening we ordered dishes we've ordered a few times before and enjoyed. Holy heck...what went wrong tonight?? Now we like spicy food but the dishes tonight were out of this world hot and totally inedible unless you have an asbestos mouth and a gut of steel! Two thirds of the entire order of nearly £60 had to go in the bin. Not expecting or wanting anything other than a small apology we called and was greeted by a very angry person (not the normal receptionist) who laid the blame at OUR door for the choices we made. Um...not No. 1 in the customer service handbook. With so many quality Chinese restaurants in the town I think you might consider how your level of arrogance and anger might damage your reputation. We wouldn't risk spending our money there again I'm afraid!

Pretty poor food just really basic and bland, but reasonable prices and really quick waiting time what’s great. Alright when someones hungover.
