Bidra med feedbackI was not very impressed with the food they served at this restaurant, which is why I gave it 3 stars. I believe that the meat used in the lechon kawali is "kasim" and not liempo meat, which is too fatty. Additionally, the meat in the Bulalo soup is carabeef, not beef. However, the atmosphere in the second floor dining area is quite nice.
Cenaunang Balai or 'old house' or some would say 'ancestral house' is a Filipino restaurant. The place is located near the Nagcarlan Catholic Church and the Public Market, just the street after 7eleven if you are going to Liliw Laguna. A humble house converted into a restaurant. They serve food with local flavor. Try the lechon kawali, this one is recommended!
I wasn't very impressed with the food served at this restaurant, so I gave it 3 stars. I believe that the meat used in the lechon kawali is pork shoulder, not tenderloin; pork shoulder is too fatty and the bulalo soup meat is carabao, not beef. The atmosphere on the second floor is beautiful.
"Cenaunang Balai, also known as the Old House or Ancestor House, is a Filipino restaurant located near Nagcarlan Catholic Church and the public market. It's just off the road to 7-Eleven on the way to Liliw, Laguna. This humble house has been converted into a restaurant that serves authentic local dishes. I highly recommend trying the lechon kawali here!"
