Vico Degli Scettici - TAVIANO

Enjoyed a good quality dinner at this picturesque restaurant. Nice environment with a pleasant terrace and nice staff. Food is good too. Antipasti are filling and pasta con pesto of pistachio and prawns is delicious. I recommend this nice restaurant.

I went there because the other good restaurants next door were all booked, so I gave them a try. May be this place is good for tourist that don't know the real taste of the Puglia Food. The place was noisy, the chef antipasto wasn't good at all, there were even can olives in it and this region produces thousands of fresh olives, just the meat polpettes were good. The frittura mista was ok, but for the price it was small and just 3 shrimps on mine. The coffee wasn't good either, we we're glad that it was offered, so conclusion I won't be back here.

We have been twice in this restaurant during our 2 days stay, what is quite rare for us. We found very nice and friendly service (in Italian) the first evening, food was excellent (really good antipasti, excellent sea food pasta) and the red wine was so great we could not resist and booked our second evening meal there. A real good place, to recommend !
