Cobb Co Tauranga

Every time we visit Cobb&Co Rotorua from Wellington, we are always impressed by the exceptional service and food. Unfortunately, our recent visit to Tauranga did not meet the same high standard we have come to expect from the Cobb&Co brand. The macaroni was bland and floury, lacking cheese flavor, and the mashed potatoes accompanying the chicken Alexander were grainy and under-mashed. Additionally, my grandfather was unable to order the lambs fry despite our early booking on a Friday evening. The initial waiter seated us and took our drink order after 5 minutes, but there was no drinks menu on our table, indicating a lack of attention to detail. We are providing this feedback in hopes of improvement, as despite this underwhelming experience, we do plan to return. Andrew R.

Overall, we had a pleasant evening at the restaurant. However, when our meals arrived, our 4-year-old accidentally dropped his meat patty from his burger onto the floor. I requested another meat patty to be brought to us, and to our surprise, they brought us a whole new burger. I initially thought it was complimentary, but we were actually charged for it. I was willing to pay for just the patty, but not for a whole new burger which cost $14.50.

The staff were truly exceptional, the food was delicious, and it was the perfect spot for my parents to celebrate their 24th anniversary.

We went here for my daughters birthday. All started well and the staff were very friendly. Food came out quickly and we were seated near the children's play area which was great for the kids. Our mains came out and as I cut into my chicken Alexander it was still raw in the inside. Called the waiter over who agreed and took it back and then said I could choose something else. I ordered a vegetarian pasta as I felt ill because I was unsure if I had eaten any of the raw chicken in my first few mouthfuls. Waiter was very apologetic. However when we went to pay our bill not only were we charged for the chicken meal that was under cooked but also our daughters who was meant to eat free for her birthday which they knew it was her birthday. When we mentioned this to the person taking payment she couldnt of cared less. Will never be eating here again!
