Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant is part of the La Tagliatella chain. Looking for Sunday Pranzo I stopped in for a plate of Pasta. Restaurant staff was highly attentive and the servings were gigantic. (Sharing portions might be the way to go). I just found the pasta to be overdone. Wonderful desert and nice enough setting. A little on the higher side when you figure in wine and digestivo. But it is vacation!
I was interested in Italian twice in 14 days in spain. I di not realize this was a chain on another place we ate ate Tagatellie earlier. Same menu differ name. Bit disappointed at first. Location better but still around families with kids If you love Italian food at a good cost, this is one of the best in area,. Others are not of quality and gear to tourists. 300 grams pasta to share for sure. Great pizza. If want Italian and okay with families this is goof for you. Get there when it opens at 2030 to have best experience. Good english and english menu. not a typical spanish menu if what you want. If away from spanish, This is great. Value great. Big portions. Be aware you will be surrendered by tourists. Funny, tourists, do the balcony which is nice but tours. Locals do the inside. Make reservations either way. God mix in a 14 day vacation.
Considering the location, the place would be ripe for a dreaded proverbial tourist trap. Which this place is somehow not! Great! The Italian food they serve is good, but as with all places varies with what you order and personal tastes. I had a pizza which I considered good, my wife wasn't extremely thrilled with the pasta (in particular if you take into account the pricing). The very good parts are the ample, filling servings, a somewhat romantic atmosphere, correct orthodox-ish Italian food. Not the cheapest place, but considering the location and the quantity of food served, I'd say its quite a good deal overall. Certainly a couple of levels over what you can find in, say, Plaza de la Font. Gets four bubbles for being a pleasant surprise.
Like being in Italian, in the heart of the city of Tarragona, one of the best places to enjoy Italian flavors, with artisanal pastries, creative sauces and a welcoming atmosphere. the atmosphere is intimate, familiar, homely, and very quiet
This restaurant was a total find. My husband and I loved it. We just happened to walk by and saw some of the food being served at the outside tables. It looked so good we just went inside. Now our spanish is less than even basic but we were able to translate the menu quite easily. They had pictures beside the pasta choices. I know sounds corny but it was very helpful. You choose your sauce and then you choose your pasta. They serve a little dish of green olives when you sit down, try them they are really good. The house wine is a good deal. We had a pizza the first night , yes, we went back, and a pasta dish. Both very good but the second night we had the carbonara with pappardelle all uovo to share, an order of the bread and a bottle of house red and it came to less than 25 Euro total. It was delicious. Had we been in Tarragonna longer we would have gone back a third time. They have a second location in the old town which we walked by but never ate at. It looked really nice as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. We are still talking about our meal.
