Bidra med feedbackWe sat at 8 a.m., no one came to take a drink order by 8:30 p.m. Our starters arrived at 9am and were not as described in the menu. At 10 a.m. there was no sign of our nets so we left. The restaurant was empty, so no excuse. What dinner was all about the standard food for the price and extremely slow service. No staff available to take complaints. How comfortable. This must be the worst experience I had in a restaurant.
We were staying at the hotel just a couple of days before Christmas, the place was really quiet. Most of the staff appeared to be new but when able to converse were very friendly and trying to do an excellent job. The food quality was excellent.
Afternoon tea was a little disappointing, we were the only ones in the restaurant, very clean and tidy just disappointed with the afternoon tea for the price of what we paid
Service was so slow. Ordered the sourdough bread to start, got 3 dinner bread rolls. Then waited a further 45 minutes for the steak frites which was actually quite nice, just a shame it took so long for condiments! Then proceeded to order desert, then waited a further 15 minutes to be told they didn’t have any of the desert. Also frustrating when a VIP (someone who clearly works for the company! comes in and they then get all the attention of staff and paying customers get forgotten about!
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the restaurant. After reading the reviews, I didn't expect much, but it turned out to be great. The food arrived in a timely manner, was piping hot, fresh, and flavorful. The cocktails were also excellent, and the dessert—sticky toffee pudding served with bananas, vanilla ice cream, and a rich sauce—was simply amazing. The staff was polite and professional, and I’m unsure what the negative reviews were about unless we just got lucky. The only downside was the restaurant's ambiance, which could use some improvement. Overall, I was very impressed.
