Plaza Taormina

This is almost a hidden Ristorante. You need to go downstairs from the main street of TAORMINA. We have arrived at about 6:15 p.m. The website is showing that the Ristorante is open from 5:00 p.m. But it was not ready and needed to get prepared. So finally it was open at 6:30 p.m. A waiter has guided us to a table with table cloth and pillow for our back. Then Deborah, the female Boss arrived at our table holding her mobile phone at her ears to take our orders. While speaking to us she suddenly ran away to finish her phone call...This was more important. From the menu we ordered Tris di Tartara Trio of Tartar Catch of the day 18 €. We also ordered OCTOPUS on mashed potatoes 18 €. In addition we ordered seared TUNA with Sesame. 18 €. Then we ordered a bottle of Red Wine, NERO D AVOLA 30 €. The taste was average. Refilling the wine was self service! Finally we ordered a bottle of Sparkling water. To be added was COPERTO 6 €. After !! we have finished our meals the waiter brought bread at our table. It was hard as a stone. Was it not fresh? I do not know the reason. I also do not know why we got forks in different size. See the picture. And why have I got a knife for Steaks for my fish? The Wine List could have offered more wines. Italy is famous for wines. The prices for wines are quite expensive. The quality and preparation of meals was good. This Ristorante is specialized on fish! The owners are very friendly. What a pity that Deborah, the female Boss, said that she is almost only able to speak Italiano and not good enough English. WIFI is available. Credit cards were accepted. We will return. L'offerta dello sconto 50% nella pubblicità è solo una presa in giro. Ho potuto prenotare con il 25% di sconto. Il locale è carino, gentili i proprietari il cibo genuino, rientra nella norma. Essendo a Taormina i prezzi sono un po' piú alti ma accettabili.

La cucina è davvero ottima, locale carinissimo in cui si respira aria spensierata e allegra. Il servizio al tavolo è eccellente così come l’atmosfera del locale!Consiglio!
