Bidra med feedbackWe used BookaTable.com to take advantage of a special offer at this restaurant - £25 for 3 courses and a glass of Prosecco, which was definitely worth it! Despite arriving a little late due to a delayed train, we were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Our waiter quickly brought us the menus and took our drink orders. The starters, mains, and desserts were served promptly and were all delicious. The service was attentive but not overbearing, and all the staff made an effort to ensure we had a great evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return again in the future.
Whenever I meet up with an old friend in London, we always have lunch at the Damask restaurant in The Athenaeum Hotel. The staff at Damask are always welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. They are also very mindful of my Gluten intolerance, making sure to have the right type of bread on hand. The set menu at £30 is a great value and consistently delicious. The best part about dining at Damask is the calm and peaceful atmosphere, allowing for private conversations without feeling crowded by other guests. The restaurant may primarily cater to hotel guests, but for those in the know, it is a culinary gem that offers a haven from the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly with top-notch cuisine.
This restaurant, located in the luxurious Athenaeum Hotel on Piccadilly, is a hidden gem in London. Despite being part of the hotel, Damask restaurant is often overlooked by its guests during lunchtime on weekdays, making it a quiet spot for those in the know. They offer a well-priced set menu as well as a full à la carte menu, all prepared to a high standard and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and welcoming, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere in the restaurant. It's a little oasis of tranquility just steps away from the busy streets of Piccadilly. I hope this hidden treasure remains undiscovered by the general public, as it is a wonderful find for those who appreciate good food in the heart of London's West End. I highly recommend it.
I made a very late booking for 6 at Damask for lunch, we were squeezed in by the very lovely Peter, we were warned it was very busy even so we were looked after fabulously, nothing was too much trouble. We opted for the set lunch of £20 for 3 courses. I think this is the best lunch deal in London the food was so tasty. There was a choice of 4 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts and even with that there was flexibility. (they make the best chocolate brownies ever, but it wasnt on the set meal on our visit, so Peter asked the chef if I could have it instead. It was brought to me without excuses or any difficulty and it was just as great as last time, divine! No one elas in my party had been to the restaurant before but all said how wonderful and what great value it was. We had a beautiful bottle of Sancerre which was £40 but considering the value of the set lunch, why not! Can't wait to introduce more friends to this little gem of a restaurant. As you can tell I love it!
Excellent cuisine in a very refined setting. Very pricey, and the service could be more attentive, but it's still a lovely place to enjoy a meal.
