Bidra med feedbackAfter breaking my foot at another establishment, my husband and I took to Tumon to get away for the night. On a whim, we picked the Outrigger, and we had a fantastic experience. We were greeted by the bell staff at the door, who assisted me on crutches, and then were shown to the reservation desk. There, we were treated like royalty, and not only given the military rate, but they gave us a complimentary upgrade to a king corner suite. This was amazing, with incredible views, accessible bathrooms for me, and just the perfect place to unwind and relax. About a week later we decided to return and stay at the outrigger again, so that we would be closer to the airport for the night before we flew out. They gave us the standard handicap accessible room this time with the military rate, which was fine. The room itself was clean, but not even at 9pm the room next to us had a bunch of kids screaming and we asked to be relocated to another room with no screaming kids. After getting relocated, that room just happened to be next to a room with screaming kids too. We were super frustrated, and it kept us up all night, leading to a very rough flight out the next day. It's crazy how night and day differences we had with the two experiences in the same hotel. If I had just stayed the first night and hadn't returned for a second, it would have been a full 5 stars, but if they take the time to reissue us to a different room, wouldn't you think they would have checked to see if our neighbors had kids? Common sense, and to us with no kids, it's pretty important. Overall, this averaged out to be a very average experience.
It's a nice hotel but limited parking space. I was really annoyed when there were parking reserved for voters. Hotel management shouldn't allow this and should make hotel guest first priority.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel while in Guam and I have to say, it was amazing! This place was fairly modern with some of the most friendly staff. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had an amazing view of the beach. This hotel is also conveniently located near most tourist attractions and shops. A bit on the pricier end but definitely worth the price.
The line I'm waiting in to check out. It's taking about ten minutes per person. Only one employee. At this rate it will take over one hour. I guess you need to give yourself 1.5 hours just to check out. Air condition was horribly hot in my room, perhaps 80 degrees when it is reading 60. I'm from Hawaii so I'm used to hot weather but this was unacceptable. Coffee shop service was poor as employees rather talk story with friends than help customers so as the two ladies at the bamboo bar in the evenings who we had to constantly flag over just to order and when asked about the special to buy a sandwich and get a beer free, they both said there was no such thing. We asked them to both confirm with management at which they reluctantly did and found out there was a special despite the sign at the bar mentioning the special! $27 breakfast buffet. Don't do it! Powdered scrambled eggs and the hard boiled eggs, the shells were all stuck so bad, you couldnt peel and eat it. Food selection was not worth $27. Had a guy making over easy eggs but no omelette station. The rooms were dark. I was there for business and the lighting was sooo poor. I'm in my 30s so not like I can't see in the dark, but man oh man, this was dark! The wifi also did not work every night that I was there as none of my coworkers and I could catch in room wifi in half the nights. We had to take our laptops and work in the lobby which runs off a different wifi signal. Parking is tough. Very small, cramped and difficult to find an open stall. My ocean view was a joke! See the picture. They stuck me on the 5th floor which is the same floor as employee offices. Got woken up every morning at 3 am by loud employees in the hall wall slamming the doors constantly. Although the location is great, I'm going to stay at the Hilton next time I'm in town.
This is my go-to hotel when visiting Guam. The lobby is inviting and offers plenty of amenities. The rooms are large and offer fantastic views. The cocktail hour at Voyager is a delightful experience with a great selection of food and drinks. The spa was the highlight of my trip and helped me relax. The dining and shopping options within the hotel are convenient and diverse, making it unnecessary to leave the property. The only downside is the long waits for elevators, which I experienced multiple times during my stay.
