Ybor City Vegan Deli - Tampa

I'm not sure, they said they were going to close the location at a exact date, but it turned out they closed earlier. A disappointment

To begin, there was a hair in my meal. But let's now go back to the beginning of my ordeal here. After deciding what I wanted I'm told they had run out of two vegan meats including what I wanted, the chicken seitan. So they couldn't make like 2/3 of the menu. I was also paying for parking just to go there starving and not be able to even order what I wanted. So I order the breakfast wrap and it takes a fairly long time to make it although the place is nearly empty. Imagine if they were busy? I'm from NY where places can't afford that long to make one wrap. Here's where it gets MUCH WORSE... I'm eating it, feeling at best meh about it, when I bite into and realize there's a hair in my mouth. There was a blonde hair in it that I literally pulled out of the fake egg stuff. My hair is purple. Def not my hair. They didn't offer a refund or anything else upon relaying to the chick there that not only was it not food I liked, but there was a hair in it that grossed me out ruining it even more. I threw most of it out in front of her and she could care less. They also don't even give you water. I'm sure they charge a lot for bottled. Support vegan, fine, but I'd skip this place. Was too. Like came to over 14 for a wrap. Overstuffed, which I hate and they offered no kids menu to order something better sized and more affordable. So you also won't want to bring kids here. MY ADVICE: The WeVegan restaurant near or in Bayshore Beautiful area is 1000 times better with plentiful free parking. Also, you can bike at the nearby waterfront path. Win. Win. It's also friendly, has free water, plus they sell coffee and desserts. You can also go to Sunshine Thrift before or after so win win win.

The pizza we had was so good. Wanted to try more but, pizza was so large, it filled us both. Lots to choose from. Also, they have provisions to go, bodega style. Will return.

I got the vegan cheesesteak and it was absolutely one of the best things i’ve ever eaten—i’ve been vegetarian for over a decade and i’ve never had a cheesesteak before so i think this changed my life :
