Bidra med feedbackNo measures are taken to avoid cross contamination. The kitchen space is very small and since this restaurant makes homemade flour tortillas, we were told that there is flour all over the kitchen. After we told the manager that my family and I were celiac the manager advised that we eat somewhere else. This was disappointing because the menu looked delicious and everything appears to be homemade.
*is cash only* bank is near by, though. Had the mahi mahi tacos, they were very tasty. Sadly, as reported by another poster, flour tortillas are made in house so cc risk can be high, as confirmed by our server they did check with the manager. Some items on the gf menu also have disclaimers that they may contain wheat or have soy sauce. Took the risk, and I'm feeling it today. If you're on the sensitive side, I'd skip it.
While they have a dedicated gluten free menu when i described celiac they said fryer is fully cross contaminated. The flour tortillas are made in house with full risk of flour in air contacting all food. I was unable to eat the tacos safely and was recommended one dish the shrimp curry that did not require any fry pan as safe option. Was delicious, just not the gluten free option I was expecting. I’ll
They have clear GF options and would answer questions. Place is very busy and food is good, but overpriced, and that’s saying something for GF options in Costa Rica. Only takes cash.
I was so happy to return here after being away for four years! I've been dreaming about the Mahi Mahi tacos and they didn't disappoint! They had a separate gluten free menu!
