Marie Livingston's Texas Steakhouse And Saloon

On two stars. I visited marie livingstons steakhouse today. the steak was okay, not as good as I remember. the building falls into unrepair, it would not need much to fix it. our blessing was good.

Service and bar has went down the drain lately. Kitchen did a great job with steaks and apps. We had to squeeze out own ketchup packets into a saucer. Waiter forgot everything. Probably his name by now. Manager thought we were trying get over on her with our groupon. 75 meal with a 20 tip. Only two people...get your ! together

Avid steak eater here! The worse ever. Waitress was sneaky, fillets were not fillets, vegetables uncooked thrown on a hot plate. Ran out of every drink I ordered. The place had trash all around and was just overall not my expectation of a steakhouse. I ordered the fillet and I have no clue what part of the cow that was. It looked like a steak they put together in a circle shape and called it a fillet. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was pretty much still kicking when I got it. I took two bites asked Haley the waitress to take it back and remove (I don’t send food back to he recooked) she said she would. A few minutes later she came back with both checks stacked one on the other never commented on if she spoke to the mgr about the issue and tried to hide the fact there was another check. I asked her about taking the steak off she said the couldn’t because I didn’t see it back to recooked (confused face) I let her that I was not going to pay for the check so please check back with the manager finally all of a sudden the steak was taken off. Did she even speak to the mgr the first two times? Probably not.

First time here and will never be back again. The wait to be seated wasn 't bad. However that and the rolls were the only decent thing about this place. We both ordered filet mignon. Husband ordered medium (warm, pink center according to their menu) and I ordered medium well (hot, pink center). Waiter was not great. Took forever to get a sweet tea and a beer. Appetizer came out (Thai fried shrimp) it was so-so. Salads were just lettuce and dressing with 1 to 2 croutons that tasted burnt. After waiting an entire hour with no communication from our waiter, he comes to tell us they have a big party and so the food is gonna take even more time. Probably 15 minutes later, we receive our food and our steaks are well done...mine was super well done. We attempt to eat it, but just have to bring it up after all the waiting we had already done just to get the food. He doesn 't even offer at first to get us another steak, but honestly we don 't want to wait another hour for a steak anyway so they got us. The waiter doesn 't really seem to care too much but says he could try and give us a dessert for free? No thanks. He mumbles something about trying to see what he could do and walks off. Waiter doesn 't come back for a long time again and when he does seems to have forgotten about everything we had discussed earlier. We ask for the check, no discounts listed (probably should have pushed more and maybe if we were rude people would have, but you shouldn 't have to be rude to get decent customer service). We pay the waste of a $100 and waiter say alright thanks sorry about the steaks and walks off. Attached is photo of husband 's supposed medium steak.

The owner is horrific. Treats her staff and customers badly. The last time we visited, her staff left a large party waiting without service for 55 minutes. When she found out she yelled and screamed at staff so loudly that us and other customers could hear her, and only her! Since I loved the food we decided to go back. I’ve been a customer for years but we didn’t go for a while after this. This evening I called in and was told I didn’t need a reservation or to do a call ahead. I asked again and was assured it was not needed! When I walked in they said there was a wait and could maybe seat us faster due to the situation. I mentioned not being able to stand or sit for long bc I’m disabled. The rudest lady (MARIE HERSELF) replied that she is disabled too and she stands all of the time. Her employees face showed immediate shock which is what I felt! I’m not sure how Marie Livingston can be disabled but stand for hours several days a week at the restaurant she owns?! We won’t recommend this place ever or be back.
