Bidra med feedbackWell definitly not the experience we were looking for. We saw all the signs for Jeri 's cafe but since the Grove Market sign was still up, we thought that it was still there but when we walked up, knew right away it wasnt but thought we would give it a chance. When we went to the hostess stand, we were greeted by a young lady who seemed to be having a bad day. I asked when the name of the restaurant changed amd her response was the whole company changed . It wasn 't her response that was rude, it was the look on her face and her body language that said it all. We sat down and our server came over, spoke way to fast to even understand her. We ordered our food, she came back with our drinks, then brought back a plate of something with crackers, never explaining what it was and since we had never been there before, we had no idea what it was. I grabbed a cracker and almost took a bite but something said ask what it was. So when I was able to flag someone down to ask what was in it (our luck it was the hostess with the mostest), I asked what was in it. Her response was Pimento Cheese, with this look of complete disgust as to why we were even asking. Repeated again please tell us what is in it . She stated oinion, which is what I thought and since my fiance had an onion allergy, we quickly sent it away. Finally our food arrived (we had the classic french toast and the chef 's special french toast). Looked great expect several of my pieces were hard as a rock and it was swimming in syrup. The few slices we were able to eat, tasted great but again there was so much syrup, you couldnt eat it. We then waited an additional 10 minutes just to find our server again to get our check. While waiting, several observations were made: servers with hair hanging in the food as they served; no cooks with beard guards on, I could go on but we definitely won 't be back.
The food and service are good, but it was extremely disappointing to pay more than $50 for brunch and have it served in plastic to go containers. It's extremely wasteful, not to mention unpleasant to not eat out of real plates or with real utensils.
First time eating here and it was great. Brandon was my server and he was on top of everything! It’s nice to see this place has regulars, that’s always a good sign.I started off with an iced matcha and they serve complimentary pimento cheese and crackers. I had “The Tab” with a tomato bisque as the side. The tomato bisque was so good! I would put it up there with Bella Bella’s tomato bisque. It was that good! Turkey with apple butter was a nice spin and it paired well together. There is a reason that’s the most popular pick.I never saw the inside because I had my pup with me and we sat out on the patio. This is a dog friendly space and the patio was so nice and quiet It was perfect for the four legged visitors.Parking: you can enter the parking lot off of N Gadsden street or thomasville rd.I brought my family back and we enjoyed a nice selection of food! Honestly everything you order is fresh and taste great! I ordered the pesto steak sandwich and it was a brilliant blend of flavors. I was a huge fan! The collar greens were delicious.
I’ve been here multiple times and for some reason the service is almost never good. i went by myself on a weekday to grab lunch and i was seated inside where i was next to the kitchen. in my opinion, it was not busy at all but my server took my drink order, left for about 15 minutes, dropped it off, and then she disappeared again for a while before she finally took my order. the only time she checked on me was near the end of my meal and asked me if i was ready to pay while she was already pulling up my ticket on the tablet thingy. the service has been consistently bad and also lack attentiveness.
My experience was very good and they now have a second location! I was told there is often a small wait but mine was less than 5 minutes. My only criticism would be the minimal signage at the road and Google Maps is off a bit. I ended up on the library side of the building and ended up having to ask someone. It is in the back on the south side of the building.
