Gilliam Sisters Soul Food - Tallahassee

Came to visit someone and was recommended to try out the food here. It look so good too. It says you guys are open right now but the doors are locked and nobody is answering. There isn’t a closed sign. : i wanted to try it too but now i can’t.

Heard great things about this place and they lived up to the hype!!! Greens and cornbread was flavorful. Yams were next level and the pork chops were cooked to order, hot and fresh out the grease. Will definitely be back.

First time in Tallahassee and searched for a decent soul food restaurant. Found Gilliam Sisters and the service, food, and atmosphere was exceptional! I didn’t want to leave literally spent the entire Sunday afternoon talking with the owner (female ???? , staff (young and pleasant and enjoying the delicious cooked to order oxtails, wings, collard greens!! Excellent experience and highly recommended!

Stopped in during FAMU 's homecoming so there was a bit of a crowd, but the food was worth the wait! I 'm a little ashamed to say that I didn 't get a single picture, because I tore that food up QUICKLY! I can 't remember which sister waited on us that day, but she was so hospitable! Added to that southern charm that restaurant naturally has. I was worried when I saw that they had to increase prices due to the pandemic, but the portion and flavor of the food was worth every penny and then some. I ordered the pork chop platter. It came with 2 large fried pork chops, 2 sides, and a cornbread muffins. I opted for the greens and yams and they were absolutely D E L I C I O U S. Restaurant yams tend to be hit or miss with the flavor, but these were SPOT on! My pork chops were battered well and perfectly seasoned and fried. I was a little disappointed by the seemingly excessive wait time (about 45 minutes), but again, the food was worth the wait. I encourage you to try this place and bring your patience and grace. You can tell the owners are passionate about their business!

Today was my first time entering the establishment. The customer service with everything. She was patient, polite and knowledgeable. The food was well seasoned, hot and delicious. I really enjoyed my time there as well as the food. I’m ready to see them franchise all over.
