Bidra med feedbackNo wonder it's a Top 5000 Restaurant on Tabelog, a top food review site in Japan! The taste buds are super satisfied! It is a standard-omakase course for all (15k yen), unless you go with a large group. After I tried many sushi restaurants, including the Michaelelin in Tokyo, I have to say that their little dishes are simply impeccable!!! The sushi is honest, but it is nothing against it, especially the rice ball part (as you can say from the photos). A large part of sushi is the rice ball and it is an ability to master super hard as you need to consistently deliver good quality for every piece of sushi you make. The restaurant is only the chef himself, who runs most of the cooktop with only one assistant for 20 or more customers. He was super bound and maybe it was compromised. I would still give 5 stars as I think the quality and quantity is there, with this price. Book in advance!
Top animal eating experience, >150 USD per person worth every penny of it. Dinner course only (omakase), most likely need a reservation, just ask the hotel you have reserved for you when you come to Japan and you can get a place within the next 1-2 days.
Did not make a reservation, chef was gracious enough to offer my wife and I a seat upstairs for Omakase. The meal was like a beautiful symphony with a strong start to introduce the type of sushi Kagawa is famous for. When we thought we were about done, more dishes were served with even more mind blowing flavors. The sweetest uni was served. Then the most beautiful tuna. Finishing off with a well balanced savoury sardine. The control of umami in each dish is testiment to the chef's experience. This was an unexpected discovery that we were fortunate enough to have found.
Dinner is over 10K yen not included serving and wine costs. Believe it is very famous in Takamatsu as taxi drivers can know where it is when you say the restaurant name. All wishes prepared by the cook come from local areas, and you can request the cold or warm style and decide how many cup you want to drink. Overall, a strong recommendation if you can accept the prices, although it requires some efforts to ask hotel counters to help reservation by phone. It's worth trying.
Tiny restaurant, but with very tasty sushi, and a friendly cook who enjoys drinking a glass of wine in the evening
