Hera Greek Taverna - Taiwala

Early evening dinner. Good food at moderate prices with good timings and excellent service. Recommended.

Nice people, simple food, not too expensive. The nice thing about it is that it is directly located on the beach.

Of course if you ipen a greek restaurant outside of greece then you make sure the staff know what they are doing. We visited here twice recently and we could not believe the inconsistency. First time it was lovely, everything seemed to be right. The second time though it was terrible, Greek salad was pretty much all lettuce, my wife ordered Feta cheese and fries and a greek yogurt with honey for dessert. She got the feta cheese then 15 munutes later came the fries with the yoghurt, however as she is gluten intolerant she asked for no oats just yoghurt and honey, it arrived covered in cornflakes and sprinkles (hundreds and thousands)!!! Hardly any yoghurt in it. If you want real greek food then you may hit on here or you may be dissapointed.

The value for the price at this restaurant is excellent. While the menu is not extensive, every dish we tried was delicious. The hummus in particular was outstanding and the portion sizes were surprisingly generous. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff, like others in the area, were friendly and welcoming.

The food at this restaurant is truly authentic, although it lacks certain ingredients that are not commonly found in the Philippines (such as authentic Greek yogurt). Despite this, the food is delicious, the staff is extremely friendly, and the terrace on the first floor offers a stunning view of the sea.
