Bidra med feedbackI visited this restaurant because I was in the mood for Korean food, but the taste...
The food was delicious. It was a nice change from the Philippino food and I was in the mood for Bibimbap so I'm glad we found this place! I would definitely come again.I gave it 4 rating because it was quite expensive, in comparison to some of the seafood and western food available in town. We paid over $1000P for two simple Korean dishes.
I'm a huge fan of Korean food so I was thrilled to have found this place. I wish I hadn't...First impressions were bad, as the interior is quite grotty and the owner was chain smoking and watching loud Korean soap operas in an otherwise empty restaurant. The food was totally devoid of any flavour. I don't usually complain about my food in restaurants but when after three tasteless dishes I was served a Kimchi pancake which did not taste of Kimchi (only of oily, insipid tomato!) and could not hold its shape in the slightest (not a pancake!) I sent it back immediately. I was not offered an alternative (or apology) so I assumed the pancake at least would be taken off the bill. It hadn't and at 800 pesos (£13) I complained it should have been. The owner flatly refused without even apologising and got increasingly angry and confrontational. We decided to pay anyway and left before the situation turned too nasty. If you love Korean food then stay away from this dreadful restaurant. It was by far my worst dining experience in all of the Philippines.
I had a fantastic experience at this simple restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. However, I have to deduct a point because I felt that the prices were quite high. In my opinion, paying 1000 pesos for an entree for two in the Philippines is a bit too expensive. Nevertheless, I understand that the location in the popular tourist area of Alona contributes to the higher prices.
