Read more in this vegan Taipei guide: https itravelforveganfood.com/vegan-taipei-guide since august 2019 mushyaki has stopped having a shop in shilin night market. However, it goes to hip pun vegan bakery every Wednesday (from 11 to 18 o'clock) so they can pass to try their vegan takoyaki. they also go to various food markets that they can check the timetable on their Facebook page. takoyaki is a Japanese snack that is traditionally made with fenced otopus. mushrooms for otopus replace, mushyaki ≠ makes a vegan version that is so delicious and much more compassion. takoyaki is served with mayonnaise and other toppings. the mixed bowl is recommended as they can taste all different aromes.
Was here in juni 2019. they saw this on happycow and stopped by to try. here is my review for bao gu shao. it is a street stand that sells only one: small savory japanese takoyaki balls. each ball had a piece of mushroom inside. we tried the 2 aromes offered for the day. both delicious and served hot.
I only learned about mushyaki at the vegan frenzy in taipei at the end of December 2018. the event organizers encouraged all participants to byo schirrr, utensilien and drinks to minimize the müll on the festival. So, of course, it came to me to bring a glass container with me when I wanted to visit her location in shilin night market. the personal was so happy to see that I take off my crooks and told me that the owner wants to reward customers who do this by giving them an extra mushyaki for free. So, yes, I have ordered two (NT$70) mixed mushyaki, each with seven balls instead of the usual six. it was as delicious as I remembered from the festival, and they can choose which taste vegan mayo they want on the seventh ball if they want. BYO sleeves to go the extra mile and avoid them with a bamboo skewer!
