Since I rarely end up on this side of the Metro, I decided to try food unique to the area. Rico Rico was known to me because of the SosBolz' social media accounts. I am a fan of the couple but I was honestly disappointed with the paella. I had the plain paella negra. It was expensive for the minimal quantity of rice (the pan seemed to have just 1 layer of thinly spread rice ????) and scarcity of toppings. The taste of the paella rice itself was good but there was nothing special. I say this because I've tried a better, "siksik" sa laman, and cheaper paella place from Mega Mall. It was a full meal in itself. I was really disappointed with ricorico because having a solo order of paella made me feel like I just ate 1 order of plain rice from a fast food restaurant and I needed to order something else to soothe my hunger. My conclusion for this review is ricorico is certainly not a food court experience for everyone. It is not for those who are on a tight budget and certainly not for an average student.

Being a paella lover, I was excited to try their version. I must admit that in the Philippines, their prices are considered expensive, but if you've been to other countries, especially in Europe, then the price would be okay. I was very disappointed that they serve too little for the price of P320. I'm not a heavy eater but their solo serving of the paella is not enough for me. They are way more expensive than the paellas that I had in Barcelona. For me the food taste good but you won't get your money's worth in terms of the amount.
