Bidra med feedbackThe menu at this restaurant is quite intriguing, featuring dishes such as talakitok (a locally sourced white fish with rich flavor) and tawilis. The flavors are exceptional. The monggo was tasty but a bit on the salty side. The crispy pata and sisig were average. The gising gising was delicious, on par with the tawilis and talakitok. Overall, it was a delightful lunch experience with great value for money. The prices were reasonable and, most importantly, the food was incredibly flavorful.
We ordered the "cater tray" Pinakbet Valenciana, a dish that serves 6-10 people and consists of a mix of rice, seafood, and vegetables cooked in bagoong. It was delicious. For appetizers, we tried the tahong chips, which were topped with onion, tomato, and green tomato salsa. It was a tasty dish. The restaurant offers maliputo and tawilis, special fish from Tall Lake, which are seasonal but always a favorite for me. We also enjoyed gising-gising, bulalo, sinigang ng bangus belly, and crispy pata, all of which were well-prepared and delicious. With excellent service, we will definitely be returning to Rekado.
Yes! Such authentic Filipino cuisine! I absolutely adore their dishes. The flavors are truly delicious, and my friend and I were both completely satisfied. We ended up taking home the leftovers on our plates because the portions were so generous. The servings are perfect for 3-4 people, but just the two of us were stuffed by the time we finished our meal. I especially enjoyed their sizzling tofu - it was superb! As a tofu fan who often cooks sizzling tofu myself, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved their version. The bagoong rice was also incredibly delicious. In fact, everything on the menu seemed tempting. The staff were very attentive and even gave us a discount.
It was a holiday and most establishments were closed. It was a toss-up between Chinese and Filipino. The native cuisine won. And so we tried Rekado. The PlaceThe restaurant is located at the 2nd floor of Bonifacio Stopover, near St. Luke's Hospital in BGC. It was spacious and had a modern feel. The StaffWe were seated immediately but our orders were taken a few minutes after. As it was a slow afternoon, the waiters seem to be taking their time as well. We had to catch their attention a few times just to refill our water glasses. The FoodWe ordered Chicharon Bulaklak, Munggo Guisado and Lechon Kawali. The chicharon and munggo tasted good. the lechon kawali seemed to lack salt. The PriceReasonably-priced given the serving, but they could still improve the taste, not to mention the customer experience. Considering they charge 10% for the service, they should ensure that they give their best every day.
This is one of the few restaurants that we keep going back to because we love the food and the service. If you love filipino cuisines, this you shoukd try. Our favorite dishes are the lechon kawali and gising-gising. We love to pair it with sago with gulaman. I also like their sinigang and the kare-kare. Thinking about their food makes me hungry now. The staff are nice and friendly. The place can accomodate large groups, will keep coming back here for sure.
