Anthem Coffee Tea Downtown Tacoma

The coffee was sub par mostly because the shots sat for too long. The staff was friendly but the store was dirty. Sweeping the lobby wiping down tables would be helpful.

We loved the location and felt very safe here. Easy access from the University. We loooved the avocado toast and panini was heated up for us. The coffee was delicious and I believe three shots of espresso was enough. We sat planning our trip this year and loved being able to plug in and utilize wifi too. Great spot!

Cool location and decor but that’s where it stopped. Was there Friday 2.23 around 10a, was my first time here. Ordered a dirty chai that wasn’t hot, tasted like it was made from a cheap mix and just didn’t taste great for the $7 I paid for it. Service was very slow and underneath the tables was all crumbs, chairs tossed every which way, just looked kinda unkempt. Wouldn’t go here again.

Was the best Anthem in a chain that maybe grew too fast. Training at most Anthems seems inconsistent at best. Here, the staff were super! That team has left and now many details are down sliding. Owners seem remote, less hands on, more investor types than hospitality types. Not busy, yet floors looked unswept for day(s? , tables crumby, staff wasn’t a “team” like other times had some new faces and worker from other store, plus bathroom could have used attention, also. Caveat emptor.

Quick kind service total for 2 people getting 2 drinks and 3 food items came out to $30 including tip.
