Bidra med feedbackThe best Brussels sprouts in Syracuse! Other than the sprouts, there's something on the ABB menu for everyone. All off the food features robust unique flavor pairings. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the menu so, if you have questions, don't be afraid to ask. The atmosphere is very welcoming reflects the nature of the food. Not flashy, not basic, just comforting and well executed. I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is the best food in the city.
Haven 't been in this building for a long time and I always remembered it as being beautiful and the new owners have done a wonderful job of resorting the space. Especially love the original floors that they have uncovered. I 'm not a vegan, vegetarian or gluten free so I did some homework before I came to see what I would like from the menu. Some of my fellow lunch mates ordered appetizers so I got to try the pickled vegetables and lentil chili with potato wedges. I thought the pickled vegetables were great and especially liked the pickles! The lentil chili was good but a little bland and the wedges were crisp and ok. For my main dish I ordered the Mac and cheese with a side of bacon jam. I thought the Mac and cheese was creamy and good and the bacon jam was great! I really liked my drink which was called Fired Up it was cinnamon apple, semi-sweet hot cinnamon and cloves. If you like red hots candies (which I love) you will love this drink!!! Very pleasant experience for lunch! Spoke to one of the owners after lunch and she was telling us the history of the building that it was H.J Howes jewelry store originally.
Beautiful historical atmosphere, but many modern touches, like white walls new clean lines on the tables, chairs and lighting fixtures. Everyone was very welcoming and service was very good. I got the It 's Pink drink...7%abv and a little sweet, which I like. My appetizer was vegan Lentil Chili- very good flavor ..a little bit of spice and I couldn 't even tell the sour cream and cheese were cashew based. The wedge potatoes were a bit overcooked, but the crunch was nice with the creamy chili. Tried some of the pickled appetizer....the pickled carrots and Daikon were perfect...crisp with a deep pickled flavor. My Roast Pork Bowl was very flavorful...nice tender pork, roast sweet potatoes, crunchy cabbage and sunflower seed added a bit of sweetness.
Fantastic restaurant! Great food and wonderful selection of gluten-free brews. The Root Less Traveled was a favorite, nice mix of sweet potato and pie spices. It was a real treat to eat at a dedicated GF restaurant. It's nice to not have to worry about what you are eating. Crispiest fried chicken I've had in years. Highly recommend.
This spot was okay. I don’t drink, but my coworkers got some beverages and, other than the wine, were not happy with how sweet they were. The food was okay. I got the Buffalo wings, which I will say are like a hot wing not Buffalo sauce. I let my brother try them (I brought them home because I couldn’t eat them) and he loves spicy things! He even agreed if he ordered Buffalo he would not expect something with as much heat as there was. The atmosphere was definitely more of a formal dining spot than a place to grab drinks with coworkers.
